First event was a spring meet at local car dealer “Van Service” that has the new Camaro, Corvette and Chevy trucks!

And a bunch of pics from the local BIG event of the year, Wheels Nat´s North! Almost 1400 cars and over 10.000 visitors during one day! I didsn´t have the time to take pics of all the cars just the Camaro Club meet!

Preparing for first mock up!

My 1-gen friend Nikke has gone through E-bay for a nice set of vavle covers and here they are! CalCustom covers from the 60:ies in very good shape and made for roller rockers. I´ve been lookin for a more of an old school look under the hood and this are a giant step in that direction!

…as always with bolt-on-stuff from the US nothing fits perfect! I have a rather hign intake with my Edelbrock Performer RPM and also an 1″ plastic distance for the carb. I ordered a air filter kit for a 302 cc engine but I still couldn´t get the hood down! I had to adjust the filter after a 396 cc engine an take the distance from the filter away and I still couldn´t get the hood to close. I still need to take some material of the distance and put the decal on the lid to make it perfect!

The empty gap after the stereo was moved is now filled with this repro radio-delete-cover! I also replaced the horn button for one similar to the original one!

..there are more thing to mount but I´ll be back!

The Snow Hugger!

This is how the LED bulbs look beside the original ones:

…and this is how the glove in the dark. The Autometer-clock in the upper right corner always had a bad illumination and I think its because the clock work is in the way of the bulb!?

Here you can get a glimse of the tachometer light together with the new LED light!

Now the Hugger rests under its winter blachet from California Covers untill the rest of the stuff arrives from the US!

…a after a call to my Swedish supplier, Herman at Retro Parts, I got this:

The new gauges are now mounted and working! I haven´t checked the functionality of the tachometer yet but it does move when I run the starter at least!? For the first time since I got the Hugger it know have a working fuel gauge – nice!!

I also got an idea of movin the modern stereo to a moore discret place in the glove box. Nothin to bee proud of but it works! 

..here is the next step in the inside project, redo the Autometer gauge package regarding lights and cables. I´m going to test LED-bulbs here!

It was some work with the plastic clips but now they´re in place….for the moment!?
